EIA - The Electrical Insulation Association UK

We are a trade association that represents UK companies whose primary business is the manufacture and supply of all types of insulation materials and products, many of which are used in electrical equipment.

Our forums allow our member companies to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and we also have a diverse range of speakers talk on member specific areas of interest.

The major activity of the Association has been the organisation of Insucon, the International Electrical Insulation Conference, on a 3 or 4 yearly basis since 1970. The Conference Committee is drawn predominantly from EIA Board Members. In addition, the Association runs Industry Seminars and Member Training, which have a broad technical scope within the area of electrical insulation and are directed at the training of engineers.

We are well-represented on Technical Standards Committees falling within the control of the British Standards Institute and the International Electro-technical Commission.
