About EnviCrime Academy
EnviCrime Academy is a specialised international training organisation dedicated to strengthening global capacities to combat environmental crime. We design and deliver advanced, operationally-focused training programmes tailored for law enforcement agencies, public authorities, NGOs, civil servants and subject-matter experts.
Our courses bridge theory and practice, equipping professionals with the skills needed to prevent, detect and investigate environmental offences, from waste trafficking and wildlife crime to pollution and emerging green crimes. We combine legal expertise, criminal intelligence methodologies and real-case operational insights to ensure practical impact on the ground.
Our strength lies in bringing together multidisciplinary expertise from universities, investigators, prosecutors, criminologists, environmental professionals and judicial authorities. This knowledge is translated into high-quality training adapted to local, regional, national and international contexts, reinforcing inter-agency cooperation and cross-border responses.
Beyond law enforcement, we also support NGOs, environmental professionals (forestry, coastal protection, conservation), compliance officers and community stakeholders, empowering them to act as key actors in environmental protection and accountability.
EnviCrime Academy is a consortium partner in the ENCORE Project, an EU-funded initiative addressing the corruptionāpollution nexus. ENCORE examines how bribery, undue influence and fraud facilitate environmental crimes, including illicit waste trafficking and illegal trade in F-gases, and works to strengthen professional capacities to disrupt these enabling mechanisms.
