About Advanced Geophysical Services (AGS)
Advanced Geophysical Services (AGS), formerly operating as EPI Geophysics, provides non-intrusive subsurface investigation services to support environmental and engineering projects across the Northeast. Our work helps clients better understand site conditions, identify subsurface features and utilities, and reduce risk early in the project lifecycle, before drilling or excavation begins.
Advanced Geophysical Services (AGS) expanded in 2026 through EPI Geophysics' acquisition of Advanced Geological Services, bringing together two experienced and complementary geophysical teams. This transition allowed us to combine AGS’s strong 30 year foundation in applied subsurface geophysics with EPI Geophysics’ extensive expertise in GPR, private utility locating, and detailed subsurface mapping.
Today, AGS offers a comprehensive range of geophysical services, including ground penetrating radar (GPR), private utility locating and mapping, borehole geophysics, seismic methods, electrical resistivity and other non-invasive investigation techniques. Our team works closely with clients to design targeted surveys, execute field work efficiently, and deliver clear, actionable reporting that supports confident decision-making.
We remain closely partnered with Environmental Probing Investigations (EPI), an environmental and geotechnical drilling company, allowing us to seamlessly support integrated subsurface investigations when drilling and geophysical services are required together. This collaboration ensures continuity, coordination, and reliable results from early planning through project execution.
With decades of combined field experience, AGS is committed to technical excellence, practical solutions, and long-term client relationships. We look forward to continuing our work with existing clients and building new partnerships as we expand our capabilities and services.
