About EquiVoice Alliance Foundation
EquiVoice Alliance Foundation is a grassroots organization based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, that genuinely believes in creating an equitable world. Its work covers rehabilitation and advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence, promotion of gender equality, and giving a voice to the marginalized.
Our Witch Hunt Prevention Programme follows a two-pronged approach. At the grassroots, we organize mass awareness campaigns and activities involving rural communities in combating witch hunting and other forms of gender-based violence. We engage with local communities with the objective of making villages more sensitive to issues of gender inequality and marginalization.
Meanwhile, we try to offer survivors comprehensive support: psychological and legal counseling, vocational training, and ways to achieve economic independence. Over the next three years, we plan to rehabilitate and empower 2,500 survivors, ensuring they will be protected, their lives rebuilt with dignity.
We are working on a hub for the program in place, and we continue to research collaborations with local stakeholders as a way to express our impact exponentially. Through research, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to drive systemic change and create a society where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
