About Families Against Violence
Families Against Violence is a dedicated non-profit organisation committed to combating gang and gun culture in the Greater Manchester community. Founded in March 2011 by James Gregory after the tragic loss of his son due to gang-related violence, the organisation has grown into a force for positive change, officially becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in March 2016.
Our mission is to create a safer community by using a comprehensive preventative and early intervention model. We believe in bringing young people together to foster social inclusion, build self-esteem, raise aspirations, and encourage responsible decision-making. Our work is designed to engage the entire community, ensuring that our efforts benefit everyone across Greater Manchester.
At Families Against Violence, we are dedicated to:
• Addressing and reducing gang and gun culture through targeted outreach and education.
• Providing programs that promote social inclusion, personal growth, and positive life choices for young people.
• Collaborating with community members to make our work accessible and beneficial to all.
Join us in our mission to make Greater Manchester a safer and more inclusive place. Let's work together to build a future free from violence and full of hope. Follow us for updates on our initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and events that support our cause.
