Wellstar Expands Rural Maternal Care with $1.2M Grant from Health Resources and Services Administration
A $1.2 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration is helping Wellstar expand maternal care in rural communities by bringing together healthcare providers, public health partners and community organizations to strengthen support for moms and babies where it's needed most. In many rural areas, families face barriers like transportation, housing and food insecurity that can make it harder to access consistent care, and this Rural Community Consortium is helping close those gaps so more families can get the support they need for a healthier start. Read more about how we're helping close the gap in nine Georgia counties: https://www.wellstar.org/articles/wellstar-launches-rural-maternal-health-in-9-ga-counties.
