A $30.47 million investment at the Bepza Economic Zone in Mirsarai will set up a 22,000 sqm facility producing 400,000 to 500,000 hydroponics tents and related products annually for export to the US, Europe, UK, Canada and Japan, with production starting by March next year, creating around 3,000 jobs and marking a major step in diversifying Bangladesh’s export basket beyond garments into high-value agri-tech manufacturing.
