Restoring a Historical Medal for the Lincolnshire Society of Architects
A “Repair Shop” morning for this small treasure for Lincolnshire Society of Architects refurbishing this ceremonial medal presented in 1967 by John Roberts with most recent president names added.
The box was held together by invisible tape (the sort used to fix drawings on trace so possibly as long ago as the 90’s) which has perished. Had to get out the wood glue and mini G-clamps but it’s good to go again.
The society was founded in 1862.
With grateful thanks for all of the support from RIBA East Midlands let’s try to get this to the bicentennial!
