
A #Turkish technical delegation facilitated by TIKA Islamabad visited Pakistan to strengthen cooperation on flood management, climate resilience and early warning systems.
The delegation, led by Mr. Maruf Aras, Deputy DG of General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion of Türkiye’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and experts from State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), the General Directorate for Water Management and TİKA, held high-level meetings with key Pakistani institutions and conducted technical field visits in Islamabad, KP and Lahore.
A major highlight of the visit was the meeting with Secretary Ministry of Climate Change, Pakistan Ms. Aisha Humera Chaudhary and senior officials, where both sides discussed cooperation opportunities.
