Misleading, as multiple social media claim this 2021 built Airbus A320-271N (neo) aircraft (N950NK) from Spirit Airlines was dismantled for parts in Arizona after the shutdown of the carrier.
The aircraft (N950NK), sent for long term storage in December 2024, was already in the process of cannibalizing and scrapping by February 2026, before Spirit Airlines' closure in the month of May 2026.
The carrier officially shut down and ceased its operations on May 2 after failing to secure a $500 million government rescue package.
