CFM LEAP Engine MRO Expansion: IAG Agreement Boosts European Maintenance

CFM International (CFM) is strengthening CFM LEAP engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) by announcing a new Premier MRO agreement with International Airlines Group (IAG).

The LEAP engine family is the fastest growing in commercial aviation history. To increase MRO capacity and foster competition for customers in Europe and beyond, CFM is building an open MRO ecosystem for LEAP engines, just like it did with CFM56.

With today’s agreement, Iberia’s state-of-the-art facility in Madrid will become a LEAP MRO hub for IAG. It will also serve other airlines, ensuring they have the world-class service they need to keep their fleets flying.
