In the latest episode of the Financial Crime Matters podcast, Kieran Beer talks with Oliver Bullough about his latest book, “Everybody Loves Our Dollars: How Money Laundering Won".
Oliver argues that with financial crime taking up the same proportion of our global economy as it did in 1990, the AML industry is a failure.
He faults several stakeholders in the current status quo. Not least, global governments’ deputization of the private sector in lieu of adequately empowering law enforcement and the courts to police the global economy.
