#Hydropower continues to #lead and #dominate #ElectricityGeneration in #Türkiye, in 2026 and the share of #RenewableEnergy continues to increase. : #HydropowerPlants provided 35.4% of the country's electricity generation in March; 41.4% in April; and 43% in the first 24 days of May2026.

The electricity generation in #Türkiye exceeded 140 billion kWh in 2026 to date while total share of #RenewableEnergySources ( with #hydropower share at 31.3% ; #wind share at 12.5% ; #solar share at 9.7% ; and '' #biomass + #geothermal '' share at 6.2% ) approached 60%.
