Math Meets Poetry: Geometry-Inspired Teen Workshop with Dr. Ruth Champagne

Teens aged 12-18 in Palm Beach!

On Saturday, April 11 at 10:30 AM, teens are invited to explore how shapes and patterns can help build a poem. Together we’ll read examples of visually structured poetry and experiment with using geometry and number patterns to create new work. Participants will collaborate on group poems and then design their own using favorite shapes and patterns in an Idea Book. All materials are provided.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Ruth Champagne, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Concordia University Chicago. With a Ph.D. from Columbia University’s Teachers College, Dr. Champagne is a longtime leader in math education and the founder of FRIENDLY MATH, known for bringing creativity and mathematical thinking together in the classroom.

Appropriate for ages 12–18.
No charge, but reservations are required.
