MIT's Human Operator: AI Guides Physical Movement via Muscle Stimulation

MIT researchers just built a system where AI can physically guide your body through movement.
Not by controlling a screen.
By stimulating your muscles directly.

The project, called Human Operator, combines:
→ AI
→ Computer vision
→ Language models
→ Electrical muscle stimulation
...to help guide real-time physical actions.

Early demos showed assisted piano playing and movement-based task support.

It’s still experimental, but the implications are massive:
Skill training.
Rehabilitation.
Human augmentation.

A future where learning physical tasks may feel less like watching tutorials—and more like your body being guided through the motion itself.

The line between software and physical capability is starting to blur.
