Navigating AI Integration: Lessons from Web Summit 2023

One of the most striking things we’ve noticed at Web Summit Summit this year isn’t a single product launch or keynote, it’s how the conversations themselves have changed.

Just one year ago, most discussions started with:

“What do you think about this AI stuff?”

There was curiosity, hype, and a lot of uncertainty.
Fast forward to today, and the question has flipped entirely:

“We know we need AI, what’s the best way to actually go about it?”

That shift matters.
AI is no longer a novelty or a future concept. It’s now assumed. The real challenge organizations are grappling with is implementation:

• How do you integrate it without breaking existing workflows?

• How do you move fast without creating risk or complexity?

The signal is clear:
We’ve moved from if to how.
And the teams that will win aren’t the ones chasing every new model or tool, they’re the ones focused on practical adoption, clear ROI, and human centred execution.

Web Summit has made one thing obvious: the AI conversation has grown up.
