Oxfordshire Innovates: Measuring Mobility for a Sustainable Future

Oxfordshire County Council has set ambitious transport goals: fewer car trips, more cycling, safer roads and a path toward net-zero mobility.

But setting targets is only part of the challenge. The other question is how to measure whether mobility policies are actually working.

In our latest video, we speak with Graham Stanley, Monitoring and Evaluation (MEC) & Insourcing Team Leader at Innovate Oxfordshire, and Kris Vanherle, co-founder and CEO of Telraam, about how low-cost, citizen-enabled traffic sensors are helping Oxfordshire fill data gaps across its transport network.

By complementing traditional traffic monitoring, these sensors make it easier to understand how people move not only on busy roads, but also on quieter streets, cycle routes and residential areas.
