

Toshifumi Suzuki, the founder of Seven-Eleven Japan, has died of heart failure at 93 after helping turn convenience stores into a huge part of everyday life in Japan.
In the 1970s, he brought the American 7-Eleven brand to Japan and changed retail with fresh food, fast restocks, and data-driven inventory. His vision later helped build Seven & i Holdings into one of Japan’s biggest retail giants.
