Despite repeated requests from the Taliban administration, Russia has reportedly declined to provide advanced weapons or major military equipment due to ongoing regional and international security concerns.
Mujahid claimed that the Taliban have established stability across Afghanistan and eliminated ISIS-K, insisting that Afghan territory will not be used against other countries. Russia, however, remains unconvinced, continuing to warn that Afghanistan is still a hub for terrorism and cross-border criminal activity, with ISIS-K and several Central Asian militant groups remaining active.
Although both sides recently signed a military and technical cooperation agreement, reports suggest Moscow is continuing to avoid directly arming the Taliban government at this stage.
