

Approximately 75 Grades 10-12 students from Kincardine District Senior School,
Approximately 75 Grades 10-12 students from Kincardine District Senior School, Saugeen District Senior School, and Walkerton District Community School took part in a skilled trades event on Friday at the Nuclear Innovation Institute - Advance Technology Campus with the support of Build a Dream. The day reinforced the value of participating in Specialist High Skills Major programs focused on the skilled trades, such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation.
Students had the opportunity to experience hands-on learning opportunities in electrical and welding, collaborate with skilled trades union representatives, and view panel discussions highlighting various trades pathways.
