The world rewards finishers.
(Not starters.)
Everyone has ideas.
Everyone has plans.
Everyone has something they're "working on."
But look around.
Half-written books sitting in desk drawers.
Half-built businesses abandoned after the excitement fades.
Half-kept promises that slowly erode trust.
Here's what I've learned:
Starting is fun. Finishing is rare.
The middle is where most people quit.
That messy, unglamorous stretch where the initial spark dies and all that's left is the work.
No applause. No dopamine hit. Just you and the thing you said you'd do.
The people who get ahead aren't necessarily smarter.
They aren't luckier.
They just close loops.
They show up on Day 200 with the same energy they had on Day 1.
They do what they said they'd do, even when no one is watching.
Finishing is a form of integrity.
It's a signal to the world and to yourself that your word means something.
Stop starting new things.
Start finishing what you already began.
