Thompson High School Graduate Caleb King Wins HGD Law Scholarship Essay Contest

Please join us in congratulating Caleb King, a graduating senior from Thompson High School, for earning 3rd place in the HGD Law Scholarship Essay Contest. Caleb will receive a $500 scholarship as he begins his next chapter at Jacksonville State University this fall.

This year’s scholarship theme, “Voices of the Next Generation: An Issue Worth Addressing,” invited students across Jefferson, Shelby, and St. Clair counties to reflect on the challenges facing their generation and share thoughtful ideas for positive change. We received more than 60 submissions from talented students throughout Alabama, and Caleb’s essay stood out for its clarity, insight, and forward-thinking perspective.

At HGD, we believe investing in students means investing in the future of our communities. Caleb represents the kind of leadership, thoughtfulness, and determination that gives us confidence in the next generation.
