Two VMware Executives Back VergeIO: A New Direction for Post-VMware IT

Two VMware executives just made the same bet. With their own money.
In June, Kit Colbert — VMware's former CTO — invested in VergeIO and joined our board.
This week, Zia Yusuf did the same. Zia built VMware's strategic ecosystem — the partner engine that carried vSphere to the world.
One set the technology direction. One built the go-to-market machine. Both independently reached the same conclusion about what comes after VMware.

Zia's reasoning, in his words: "The signal I look for is an architecture that gives partners something durable to sell."

That architecture is VergeOS: virtualization, storage, networking, data protection, and now private AI (VergeIQ) — one operating system, one code base. Not a stack of assembled products.

If you're an IT leader deciding what to run next, the people who built the last platform are telling you where the next one is.

Blocks & Files has the full story (link in comments).

What would it take for you to trust a platform the way you once trusted vSphere?
