Vietnam Cultural Exploration with G Adventures and Air New Zealand

A journey with purpose. Exploring Vietnam with G Adventures and Air New Zealand.

Envoyage members Annelies Anderson, Gaynor Bennett and Melissa Dodson recently took part in the FCTG Take Flight with G famil, flying with Air New Zealand, to experience Vietnam through a lens of culture, community, and responsible travel.

Our members had the opportunity to explore G Adventures’ approach to community tourism, connect with local people, and gain firsthand insight into experiences that genuinely make a difference.

Annelies Anderson gave her take on the experience: "My favourite experience in Vietnam was the Cyclo tours in both Hanoi and Saigon, such a fun, exhilarating, and slightly terrifying way to take in the city. You’re whisked through local streets and alleyways, getting your bearings while feeling completely immersed in the action. A highlight of the G Adventures product was staying at the Geluxe ‘Hotel Continental’ Saigon, the oldest hotel in Vietnam, full of character and perfectly located, making it a beautiful way to end the trip. What I’d recommend to clients is to embrace how hands‐on the G Adventures experience is, often connecting you with locals, charities, and purpose‐driven organisations making a real difference. Prepare to meet incredible people, step outside your comfort zone, and truly experience the culture and heart of Vietnam.”

A huge thank you to G Adventures and Air New Zealand for making this unforgettable educational experience possible. Our members have returned with fresh perspectives, deeper connections, and stories that will continue to inspire.
