The credit union difference:
Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service. All credit unions are financial institutions like banks, and savings and loans, but they operate much differently. Credit unions are financial cooperatives, owned by members who use the credit union. Since the focus is on service, not profit, members benefit with lower rates on loans, higher rates on savings, and often pay fewer fees and service charges on the same services offered by other financial institutions. Ancorum Credit Union has multiple branches open from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday and Sat. hours, to meet your retail banking needs along with a full service Call Center to answer any questions.

As a credit union member, you own your credit union. Members are the heart and soul of Ancorum Credit Union and the sole reason the credit union exists. This is the key difference between the credit union and other types of financial institutions. Everything we do, we do just for our members.
