Grasshopper Zurich Rugby Club (GCZ)

Founded in 1968 the club is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Switzerland. We offer 3 Men's Team playing from the top league in Switzerland (LNA and Excellence A) to a development league (LNA). We are also proud to have a Women's team, the GC Valkyries, who play in the top league (LNFA).

Our Men's teams have won the league and cup multiple times in the last decade and are always competing for the Championship whilst also having multiple international players. Our Women's team are at the forefront of women's rugby in Switzerland and contributing heavily to the Swiss Women's National Rugby Team.

The club also offer a Men's and Women's 7s team that play annually in the Swiss Super 7s and represent the club in international tournaments.

We training Tuesday and Thursday at Allmend Brunau during the season and at Heerenschürli (Men) and Fluntern (Women) between November and March during the Winter.

Everyone is welcome to our trainings and to join our club regardless if you've played rugby before or not, rugby is a great sport for everyone!
