Overview

About The Good Samaritan Inn

The Good Samaritan Inn creates social and economic opportunity through nourishment, gardening, and education. Our vision is a community where all members have sustainable autonomy and lead a joyful life.

Currently, we have two main programs: The Noon Meal Program and the Mercy Gardens Program.

Noon Meal Program: Open Year-Round, 7 days a week serving a hot lunch 11:30AM-1pm. Sack lunches can be taken to-go after eating inside, or via our walk-up window during lunch service.

Mercy Gardens: We value growing fresh, nutritious food and using our gardens for job training and employment to help the community grow. We have gardens throughout Decatur including several around our building in the Old King's Orchard neighborhood.

We accept volunteers daily and love to partner with anyone and everyone wanting to serve those in need.
