Overview

About GRAPHALLOY®

GRAPHALLOY® (www.Graphalloy.com) is a division of Graphite Metallizing Corporation, and represents a family of proprietary materials typically used in tough bearing applications.

GRAPHALLOY, a graphite/metal alloy, has exceptional mechanical, chemical, and tribological properties. As a result, GRAPHALLOY works where traditional bearing materials often fail. It is particularly useful where petroleum lubricants cannot be used, for example, at high temperatures and in submerged applications.

Graphite Metallizing Corp. has been supplying industrial customers with engineered bushing and wear-ring solutions for severe service applications for over 100 years. Our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Yonkers, New York. Graphite Metallizing is ISO 9001/2008 certified.

The company began in 1913 when two engineers developed a method for putting molten metal into carbon to create a new material they called GRAPHALLOY®.

Over the years, Graphite Metallizing has developed additional grades of GRAPHALLOY to address new applications. Our engineers have extensive experience with all types of industrial machinery and work with customers to design custom engineered solutions for their toughest application problems.
