The H. A. Shah Group of Companies, originally only a singular entity by the name of H. A. Shah & Sons, was founded in 1890 as a leading construction company in Ludhiana, India. By 1975, the company took its roots in the chemical analysis market of Pakistan, and started off as the exclusive distributor of Anton Paar (Austria), setting a milestone in the history of Pakistan's chemical analysis industry, as this was the first time that industrial devices and products relevant to this field and manufactured by the global market leaders were introduced to the Pakistani market. It later went on to represent Agilent Technologies, Anton Paar, ThermoFisher Scientific, Origalys, Foster+Freeman, Sercon, tsHR, and BWB Technologies, as the market of its products expanded into areas like Research & Development (Universities/Health Institutes), Quality Control (Corporate/Govt.), Chemistries & Supplies, Forensics, and Security & Surveillance.

With offices in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and UAE, and more than 3000 major installations all over the country, today the group has two more sister companies H. A. Shah & Sons and Chrom World. Boasting a broad customer base in both the public and private sector, including projects funded by international donor agencies, H. A.
