Our research covers all phases of human life, from conception to healthy development and ageing, healthy ageing. How can we ensure that life begins well? And how can we ensure that we then continue to function as well and as healthily as possible? The focus and themes of our research apply not only to the Netherlands, but also offer greater knowledge about healthy ageing internationally. We do this by creating awareness and by providing advice for policy, both within curative and long-term care and in nursing, welfare, and the social domain. To do this we work closely together with various disciplines and practitioners.

In addition, we provide (post) academic education. We educate students to have a broad perspective on prevention, health promotion and health protection.
