About Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (BZH)

The Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (BZH), founded in 1996, unites the activities in biochemical research with teaching of the faculties Biology, Chemistry and Medicine at the University of Heidelberg. At present, 13 groups are established here and detailed information can be found at the link "Research Groups". These groups perform basic scientific research and contribute to the teaching of students of Biology, Chemistry and Medicine in practical courses, seminars and lectures in Biochemistry. The BZH reports directly to the rector of Heidelberg University.
