HLE Network’s mission
We are a non-profit foundation that helps multilingual children by supporting “heritage language programs.” These are usually volunteer-run, community-driven initiatives doing indispensable work to help multilingual children develop the languages they speak at home.

Our impact
✨United 15+ heritage language programs in Eindhoven that serve over 1,000 students.
✨Organize networking and professional learning opportunities
✨Helped develop international guidelines for professional practices in heritage language teaching and program management.
✨Raise awareness through public outreach publications and presentations.
✨Founded and facilitated an international children’s library in Eindhoven with 13 language communities (2019 – 2023).
✨Helped found the European Forum of Heritage Language Coalitions (FOHLC) and the Heritage Language Global Think Tank.

✨Named “regional best practice” in Brainport Eindhoven by Utrecht University.
