About Institute for Process Technology, Process Automation and Measurement Technology

The Institute of Process Technology, Process Automation and Measuring Technology (Institut für Prozesstechnik, Prozessautomatisierung und Messtechnik; IPM) was founded 1993. Over the past few years, it has developed into the research engine of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The IPM carries out application-oriented research and development work in the fields of energy technology and mechatronics. With approximately 40 employees and four professors, each representing a department, the IPM is the largest structural unit at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, around 20 students from home and abroad doing there internship or thesis at the institut. Together they work using a laboratory space of 1.400 m² with a modern research infrastructure.
