Overview

About Institute for Global Health and Development, QMU

The Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) is a multi-disciplinary centre for research and postgraduate education. We offer post-graduate certificate, diploma, Masters degree and PhD learning pathways in Global Health, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Sexual and Reproductive Health. Motivated by a desire for a more just world that leaves no one behind, we seek to support disadvantaged communities, often in low resource settings, to address health and development challenges in the UK and around the world. We do this through innovative and impact-focused research and equipping international and local practitioners to address the complex global health challenges of our time, through accessible, flexible teaching and development of field-focused tools and resources.
