About Ignite Durham Learning Foundation
The Ignite Durham Learning Foundation is a charitable community organization that raises funds to remove barriers, and creates opportunities and supportive environments that enable students to reach their full potential.
We work directly with school staff to support students who face financial barriers to success, providing essentials that fall within our four funding pillars. These essentials could be:
-food for a hungry tummy
-warm boots for a pair of cold, wet feet
-a backpack full of school supplies
-a youth joining a club or team
-a bus pass to get a teenager to school
-a college application package to set up a student for post-secondary success
Our goal is to support children and youth in need throughout their DDSB career, consistently reducing poverty related stress and strengthening our community.
