About B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine (ILTPE)
B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine (ILTPE) is one of Ukraine’s leading centers for research in condensed matter physics and advanced materials.
For more than fifty years, our Institute has been known for internationally recognized work in low-temperature phenomena, quantum effects, electronic transport, semiconductor physics, and applied physics.
Our scientists conduct both experimental and theoretical research across a wide range of fields, including:
• high-temperature and weak superconductivity
• magnetism and antiferromagnets
• low-dimensional and nanoscale systems
• point-contact spectroscopy
• quantum crystals and disordered systems
• nonlinear and nonequilibrium phenomena in metals
• quantum effects in plasticity
and many other areas at the intersection of physics, engineering, and materials science.
ILTPE also serves as a hub for collaboration, training, and academic development, hosting international seminars, conferenses, scientific schools, and joint research projects.
