The Institute of Astronomy is a section of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Faculty of Science, KU Leuven, Belgium.
The activities of the KU Leuven Institute of Astronomy are related to the study of stellar astrophysics and stellar evolution in a broad context. The KU Leuven Institute of Astronomy is an expert centre in the fields of asteroseismology, evolved low-mass stars, exoplanets, and astronomical instrumentation. The Institute of Astronomy is responsible for the organisation of the Master in Astronomy & Astrophysics and the Advanced Master of Space Studies.
