About Institute of Mercantile Agents (IMA)
Established in 1961, the Institute of Mercantile Agents Limited (IMA) represents collectors, investigators and field agents (process servers and field call agents) throughout Australia.
Members work as agents for principals such as banks, financiers, insurance companies, government departments and agencies, lawyers and the business community.
The IMA requires all members to abide by the IMA's Codes of Conduct and Ethics which promote professional and ethical standards. The IMA requires its members to conduct their operations with professionalism, integrity due care and diligence.
The association is governed by a National Board and its operations are carried out by its Chief Executive Officer.
