IGTL - Instituto de Geociências de Timor-Leste

The Instituto de Geociências de Timor-Leste (IGTL) is a public institution, created under decree law No. 60/2023 of September 6th, the first amendment of Decree Law No. 33/2012 of July 18th on the creation of the Instituto do Petróleo e Geologia (IPG).

It is responsible for promoting, supporting, and carrying out geological research studies and projects, mineral and hydrocarbon prospecting, groundwater resource surveys, and investigations into geological hazards and engineering geology.
