Overview

About Jewish Small Communities Network

Founded in 2003 in Southport as a small project to support local Jewish discussions, JSCN has grown into a national charity (Charity Commission 1168499) serving over 110 small communities across 72 towns and around 65,000 people - 25% of the UK’s Jewish population.
Guided by the principle that no community is too small and no voice goes unheard, JSCN connects individuals, communities, and institutions across all denominations through support, collaboration, and shared learning. From reuniting isolated Jews with local networks to facilitating 200 school visits annually and uniting 100+ communities through ONE Shabbat, a biennial Community Summit and other events, JSCN strengthens Jewish life nationwide. Through heritage projects, wellbeing sessions, and leadership programs, it builds capacity, combats isolation, and preserves Jewish heritage. Working in partnership with Jewish and wider society, JSCN empowers small communities to thrive, ensuring geography never determines access to Jewish life.
