Summary
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Apprentice Carpenter selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.

Summary
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Apprentice Carpenter selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.
Responsibilities
- Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites
- Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtrades
- Oversight of subtrade work
- Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies
- Perform frame checks and mechanical checks
- Finish carpentry work
- Quality management inspections and reporting
- Report issues as they arise to the superintendent
- Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun
- Mentor novice workers
- Other tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendent
- Experience in residential framing
- Enrollment in Carpentry apprenticeship program as a 3rd or 4th year or completion of Journeyman Carpentry
- Experience in finish carpentry is an asset
- Equipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)
- Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements
- Be organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on site
- Candidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results driven
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standards
- Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
