Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Planner to join our Planning, Allocations and Strategy team reporting to the Director of Planning. This role provides support in the execution of planning processes for the Women’s apparel categories while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing, and values-driven workplace.

This position is primarily based in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office and follows a hybrid schedule, dependent on role and business needs.

About The Role

Essential Functions:

  • Support financial and inventory planning for assigned categories, assisting pre-season and in-season decision-making
  • Track performance against sales, margin, and inventory targets
  • Analyze business trends and identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist in building and updating open-to-buy plans
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising and Allocation
  • Update sales and demand forecasts based on weekly performance
  • Assist in seasonal forecasting and planning processes
  • Analyze promotional performance and pricing strategies
  • Monitor inventory levels, weeks of supply, and sell-through rates
  • Identify excess inventory risks and support markdown strategies
  • Partner with Allocation to ensure inventory is distributed appropriately across channels and stores
  • Track inbound receipts and inventory flow
  • Support special projects as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or a related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in retail planning, merchandising analytics, or inventory planning
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data cleansing, basic modeling)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to access and navigate various departments at the organization's facilities.

Pay Transparency & Disclaimer

$26 - $30 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
