Intuitive Machines - West is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support our AI initiatives, including the development and expansion of Large Language Models (LLM)-powered applications and related infrastructure. This role will focus on building integrations and deploying AI solutions in an AWS environment. This role can be based in Mountain View, CA or remotely in the US.

This role will focus on building integrations and deploying AI solutions in an AWS environment. This role can be based in Mountain View, CA or remotely in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in integrating and indexing legacy enterprise applications and databases with LLM applications
- Support deployment and management of AI/ML solutions using AWS Bedrock in AWS GovCloud environments
- Help implement secure, compliant AI infrastructure meeting aerospace and government requirements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to identify AI use cases
- Document architectures, APIs, and deployment procedures
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Coursework or project experience in Python and at least one other programming language (Java, Scala, C++, etc.)
- Foundational knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Understanding of network protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, REST APIs)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) through coursework or personal projects
- Understanding of LLM concepts and AI/ML fundamentals
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Internship or co-op experience in software development
- Coursework or projects involving AWS services
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks
- Experience with Docker or containerization concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices
- Familiarity with build tools (Gradle, Maven, etc.)
- Personal or academic projects demonstrating AI/ML applications
- Interest in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $66,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.
- The base pay for this position within California is: $77,000.00 - $128,000.00 annually.
