The Role

We are seeking a Calibration Technician that will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customers’ location. This is a full-time role and includes a competitive pay and benefits package.



Job Description

The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have at least two (2) years of hands-on mechanical and/or physical dimensional calibration experience. Additionally, the Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other technicians within the lab to provide calibration services, which can include measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, etc.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Working knowledge and competency in mechanical and physical dimensional calibrations with instruments / tools such as:
    • Hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers
    • Torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers
    • Pressure gauges, temperature equipment, force equipment
  • Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or at a customer on-site
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule
