Summary:

Assists with resident/patient care needs and comforts including but not limited to: oral hygiene, bathing functions, nail care, shaving, hair care. Ensures bowel and bladder needs are met per standards of care. Performs activities to assist with residents nutritional needs. Assists with the residents activity needs as assigned: i.e. ambulation, moving, lifting, and positioning. Follows infection control standards, policies, and procedures. Treats all residents, visitors, and employees with courtesy. Accepts and organizes assignments as delegated by the LPN/RN. Exhibits knowledge of Resident Rights and reports resident concerns/complaints to LPN/RN. Ensures residents' needs are met upon request. Consistently performs CNA skills: i.e. vital signs, foley care, specimen collection, use of lifts and equipment. Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in CNA practice. Meets attendance policy and enhances team effectiveness by dependability. Problem solve/prioritize/initiative needed

Other Information:

Current Arkansas CNA certification is required.

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred or a certificate in Nursing Assistant

Long Term Care Experience Preferred

Must be able to appropriately communicate, speak, and write

Generates enthusiasm, dedication, and enjoys elderly adults

This job will be authorized 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
