Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: North West London - Brent, Harrow, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £90-£100 per day (Umbrella option available)
Overview
Schools across the North West London are looking for Cover Supervisors to join their schools in a variety of different roles. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of secondary school students. It as also an amazing opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain classroom experience with flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities Of a Cover Supervisor
- Effectively manage and supervise students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.
- Follow pre-prepared lesson plans provided by teachers, ensuring students can effectively complete work provided.
- Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
- Implement the school's behaviour management policies and procedures.
- Address any disruptions or behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
- Support and promote the school's values and ethos.
- Maintain effective communication with teaching staff and school leadership.
- Adapt to different subjects and year groups as required.
- Be flexible in responding to the changing needs of the school.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
