FP&A Analyst (Onsite)

Job Description

Data Preparation & Analysis:

  • Collect, organise, and validate data from multiple sources.
  • Analyse trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across sales, operations, and overall business performance.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modelling, and variance analysis to assist management decision-making.

Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards in Excel and Power BI.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and effective visual presentations.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Ad Hoc Support

  • Support and manage the budgeting and forecasting cycle.
  • Independently manage urgent and ad hoc analysis with minimal supervision.
  • Proactively identify risks and anomalies across data, budgets, and forecasts, driving timely resolution.

Process, Systems, & Problem Solving

  • Act as the point of contact for BI and reporting-related issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot data, reporting, and system issues.
  • Participate in business transformation and system improvement projects.
  • Review existing processes and systems, recommending and implementing practical improvements to enhance accuracy, clarity, and efficiency.

Accounting Support

  • Assist with accounting tasks, including reconciliations, compliance, EOM, EOY.
  • Support month end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure alignment between FP&A outputs and accounting records.
  • Liaise with external auditors to support an efficient audit process.

Business Support & Insights

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and operational objectives.
  • Support and coordinate with dealership financial controllers and their teams on budgeting, forecasting, and finance-related activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, or any related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification is a plus.
  • Experience in automotive, retail, operations, or similar industries is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in an FP&A, financial analysis, or reporting role.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining Business Intelligence platforms, particularly Power BI and Power Query.
  • Experience in reporting development; very high Excel & Power BI technical knowledge.
  • Strong experience within a Finance & Accounting environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in relational databases, data modelling, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Oracle ePBCS or MYOB Advanced is a plus.
  • Very high data analytical skills; statistical knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills (dealing with Dealership FCs, senior stakeholder management), with the ability to proactively work across teams to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ad hoc issues, data inconsistencies, and system challenges.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and ownership; highly proactive and self-driven.
  • Trusted problem solver; comfortable with ambiguity and frequent ad hoc work.
  • A collaborative team member with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Reliable and resilient, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
