Role Definition:

To assess, monitor, and suggest improvements of health and safety standards across the organization. To audit sites and ensures compliance with legal requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices while helping to create a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • To collate, review, format, upload and issue monthly compliance reports from sites.
  • To complete targeted specific audits to certain risk profiles.
  • To conduct regular audits and inspections of sites, facilities, and processes to identify risks and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, ABP Policies and industry best practice.
  • To prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions in a timely manner and to ABP corporate format.
  • Collaborate with managers and teams to implement improvements and monitor progress on corrective actions.
  • To formulate and carry out presentations to senior colleagues within the business.
  • To support sites where required to improve and maintain compliance standards.
  • To compile power BI reports to monitor site performance.
  • To manage workload and schedule so that if required the candidate can be reactive to the needs of the business and make themselves available where required.
  • Stay up to date with changes in health and safety regulations and advise the business accordingly.

Personal specification

  • As a minimum NEBOSH General Cert qualified or above.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and auditing standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Have a relevant auditing qualification with experience in the food and drink manufacturing industry is desirable.
  • Must posses a full UK valid driving license.
  • Have the ability to travel and stay out on the road for potentially 2+ days a week.
  • Candidate should actively conduct CPD and be able to evidence this.
  • Candidate should be able to train and mentor people as and when required.
  • A good working understanding of Power BI, including how to create dashboards and reports is preferred.
