Work with all university departments as assigned.
Job Summary:
Assisting in solving technical problems, installing and configuring computer applications and systems, supervising and maintaining computers and software, and providing technical support to all employees and students.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating and managing user accounts (changing passwords and resolving related issues).
- Managing email groups and addresses for university faculty and staff (and resolving related issues).
- Managing and troubleshooting printers at the university.
- Managing and resolving shared files.
- Managing and monitoring the attendance system.
- Managing the Clarity English system.
- Managing and monitoring the attendance system.
- Managing the university's call manager System.
- Arranging meeting rooms with necessary equipment such as projectors and computer audio systems, and assigning them according to the requirements of each room.
- Managing and monitoring other university systems under the Technical Support Department.
- Designing and preparing technology project plans.
- Reviewing technical support contracts related to the scope of work and providing recommendations.
- Contributing to the preparation of the IT Center's budget.
- Document and regularly update system settings and routine tasks.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor that fall within the scope of the position.
Job Outputs:
Monthly reports detailing completed tasks and routine activities submitted to the Director of the Information Technology Center.
Reporting Frequency (Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly):
Weekly – Monthly – Annually – or upon request.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equivalent discipline.
- Three years of experience in a related IT support field.
