We’re looking for a Medical Secretary to support the delivery of tailored & streamlined care that ensures every patient has a better health journey every time. Working alongside our reception, nursing and clinical teams you will be the liaison between the surgeons we support and the patients we care for.
While essentially an administrative role requiring previous medical secretary experience, our perfect person will not only be efficient and professional but also caring and compassionate, because our patients are often working through sensitive times.
This is a permanent full-time position Monday to Friday, with day to day duties that include:
- Scheduling appointments that best accommodate patient needs and surgical opportunities
- Coordinating surgical waitlists, referrals and follow-up appointments
- Providing patients with essential information relevant to their procedure
- Processing invoices, payments and claims with efficiency and accuracy
- Collating documentation and maintain medical records
- Presenting a warm & friendly welcome to all patients & visitors
- Experience as a medical receptionist in a specialist clinic with a firm understanding of the processes and requirements for specialists, health insurers and hospitals
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology is essential
- Excellent computer literacy, experience using Patient Management Software and the ability to pick up new systems with ease
- Fast accurate data entry with an eye for detail and respect for privacy protocols
- The ability to communicate clearly in a professional but friendly manner
